Surgery.
Surgery.
One of the things I quickly realized after completing medical school, including my rotations on general surgery, is that while surgery is quite fascinating and remarkable, I would never want to be a surgical patient, ever. There is no way to recover the tissues that they tear and rip and remove for a surgical patient's body. In that way, it is a little barbaric. Much more damaging than most medications. Having typed, nor would I ever want to be a medical patient or even a psychiatric patient. Basically, being a patient usually sucks. The rare exception is when you have private doctors that teach you, rather than treat you only after you have disease.
It is much more fun to be the surgeon, rather than being the patient.
